- Location: Central, San Jose
- Date of construction: 1945
- Current use: Office building
This neoclassical office building is the work of catalan architect Luis Lack Llagostera, who also designed the central post office, located across the street. The building is moderate in detail compared to the central post office, and as a distinctive element has a series of beam and column portals on the last level. Also on top of the frontal tower is a balcony, looking out over the square below.
The building was started in 1945 and was occupied by the offices of Carmen Herdocia e Hijos S.A. To this day, it continues to function as an office building.
